The Dominican Republic has grown some of the world’s finest cigar tobacco for generations, its growing and curing traditions passed down through families. Mac Leaf exists to bring that heritage to more people without lowering the standard that makes it great.

An interlocked MAC monogram sits inside a shield borrowed from the Dominican flag, above a wordmark set in Espiritu — sharp mini serifs, a little distressing, a Cibao Gold drop shadow. A flat single-colour wordmark and a reduced-detail brandmark carry the mark down to the smallest sizes.

The full lockup frames it in a columned archway with palms, feathers and flora pushing through: the Spanish architecture found across the Dominican Republic and the plants that grow around it, drawn as a frame. Tile ornaments hold ESTD and 2020.

The palette takes the Dominican flag and gives it a crafted hand — Trade Seal Red, Midnight Navy and Sand White, with Cibao Gold added for refinement. The red runs in multiply: wherever it lands on the navy the overlap darkens, the way inks do in a screen print, and the overprinted flora carry that handmade feel across every surface.

Espiritu sets the headlines. Organetto Condensed, bold and medium, does the sub-heads and the body — substantial, legible, easy to read.

The 5X Cigar Mylar Bag puts the whole archway on the front. HECHO EN REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA runs across the top; palms, feathers and the monogram shield frame MAC LEAF stacked in Midnight Navy, with 5X CIGARS beneath and the blend named on a band above the tile pattern and the warning panel.

The blend takes the accent. Original prints the flora in Trade Seal Red on Sand White, Sugarcane swaps it for green, and Dark reverses the whole pouch into red with a gold wordmark.

Tear the pouch open and it lies flat. Inside: ENROLLA CON RESPONSABILIDAD — roll responsibly — a tiled ROLL ZONE to work on, and a map of the Cibao Valley, long regarded as the heart of tobacco production in the Dominican Republic, with a few lines on the generations of growing methods behind the leaf.

Away from the foil the mark carries on its own — the stacked wordmark burned into the lid of a wooden cigar box, the monogram engraved on a brass lighter above a band of Midnight Navy tile and stitched onto a sand cap. The tee takes the full archway in red.
